Men love shoes

Men love shoes… probably even more than clothes. While this may go against all gender stereotypes but underneath all that machismo lies the gusto for footwear.

They love shoes – good branded, sturdy shoes that they can wear and look good. They calculate and spend time in deciding which shoe would best be paired with which outfit and secretly hope to own a lot of them.

While women have always criticized men for being scarce when it comes to clothes and assumed how they can survive in the same clothes for days I sincerely doubt the same applies to shoes for them. Very much like us they like to have variety and know what to wear, when!

I think it’s time we decoded men’s footwear read more…

Five Most affordable places in the World!

Are you a travel buff who loves exploring new places?

So am I and well 99% of the entire population. The only things missing now are the money and time to do that. They say now is the best time to do anything; I say yes it is if you have the resources. No I am not a pessimist; I am more of a realist.

Can you walk to the Caribbean? Or hitch a ride? Well no. Haven’t you heard of that super old and often used saying – If travelling was free you’d never see me again. But it isn’t, so here I am boring the shit out of you.

I would like to think there are places where I could travel to if I wanted with limited resources, so I coined a list of those places. Now go explore!

  • Bulgaria

bulgaria

It’s a beautiful place with a lot of places to explore. The capital Sofia offers a lot of good things if you are travelling there including great food and cheap accommodation. It is one of the cheapest countries to stay in, if you’re in Europe.

  • Cambodia

cambodia

Cambodia is a south-east Asian nation it’s a very culturally rich nation. There are a lot of beautiful temples to visit once you are there. Accommodation is cheap, you can find dorm rooms for as cheap as $3 and private hotel rooms for upto $10 here and so is the food.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Letter to his Granddaughters

The letter speaks volumes and it’s something that every woman needs to read!

Here is the letter:

My very dearest Navya & Aaradhya

You both carry a very valuable legacy on your tender shoulders – Aaradhya, the legacy of your पर दादाजी, Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan…and Navya, the legacy of your पर दादाजी, Shri H P Nanda….

Both your पर दादाजी’s gave your present surnames celebrated fame, dignity and recognition!

Both of you maybe a Nanda or a Bachchan, but you are also girls…women!

And because you are women people will force their thinking, their boundaries on you.

They will tell you how to dress, how to behave, who you can meet and where you can go.

Don’t live in the shadows of people’s judgement. Make your own choices in the light of your own wisdom.

Don’t let anyone make you believe that the length of your skirt is a measure of your character.

Don’t let anyone’s opinion of who you should be friends with, dictate who you will be friends with.

Don’t get married for any other reason other than you want to get married.

People will talk. They shall say some terrible things. But that doesn’t mean you have to listen to everyone. Never ever worry about – लोग क्या कहेंगे !

At the end of the day, you are the only one who will face the consequences of your actions, so don’t let other people make your decisions for you.

Navya – the privilege your name, your surname offers you, will not protect you from the difficulties you will face because you’re a woman.

Aaradhya – by the time you see and understand this, I may well not be around. But I think what I am saying today shall still be relevant.

This may be a difficult, difficult world to be a woman. But I believe that it is women like you that will change that.

It may not be easy, setting your own boundaries, making your own choices, rising above people’s judgement. But YOU!…you can set an example for women everywhere.

Do this and you would have done more than I have ever done, and it will be my honor to be known not as Amitabh Bachchan, but as your grandfather!!

With all my love

Your ….Dadaji ….your Nana
